Equine Assisted Learning, EAL, is non-mounted, experiential learning that integrates the equine and human connection as a path to self-discovery and healing. Adults and children alike use Equine Assisted Learning to help with non-verbal emotional processing and personal development. Our Equine Specialists lead ground work activities that develop self-understanding to help individuals work through some of life’s most challenging issues.
Through non-vocal communication between student and horse, students develop a deeper awareness of themselves, their surroundings and their influence on those around them.
For those coming to us for mental health reasons, including serious mental illness (SMI), trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or other conditions, it is required that while participating in Equine Assisted Learning that you also see a licensed counselor.
